Hear the starting point
Families often bring different experiences of education and work to the same conversation. Begin by asking what matters to the person choosing a route: the kind of learning they enjoy, the responsibilities they have and the work they want to understand better.
Compare complete routes
Compare training requirements, location, cost, support and the likely shape of the working week. A college course and an apprenticeship are not interchangeable offers. Looking at real provider information helps a family discuss the detail without relying on assumptions about status.
Choose the next conversation
The outcome does not need to be a final career decision. A useful next step might be a school adviser meeting, a technical-college visit or a conversation with someone already in the trade. Working Class gives that exploration a shared starting point.
